I applied LawnForce Weedkill but still have a persistent weed, what should I do?

Q.

Hi Tui, I applied Tui Lawn Force Weed Kill 2 weeks ago. All weeds except the example in the picture have been killed. Should I wait longer for the invasive weeds like the one in the picture to die off. If yes, how long should I wait? I have used Woody weed killer successfully against these weeds. Should I spray it on the weeds? If so can I do now on a suitable weather day? Thanks.

Hi Lorraine, the weed is Speedwell and is a persistent weed in lawns that is unaffected by most herbicides so it may need an extra dose with a selective herbicide in 3-4 weeks time after the fertiliser application. With regular watering, feeding and mowing of your lawn, the grass growth should crowd out Speedwell. The Tui Team.
