Hi Tui, my fig tree is in a barrel and wants to fruit. But in Kilbirnie, Wellington, the wind blows the fruit off. Can you help?

Hi Glennis, is it possible to move the barrel to a more sheltered spot or put some sort of wind break up around the fig tree? A trellis or similar behind it in the direction of the prevailing wind? Fig trees prefer a sheltered position so for it to thrive it is probably a good idea to move it or provide shelter. The Tui Team.
