How do I store my polyanthus to grow again next year?

Q.

How do I best store my polyanthus to grow again next year?

Ray

A.

Hi Ray, great question. Over summer, polyanthus prefer a spot away from all day sun. They easily transplant into a semi shady area under shrubs or they can be potted up and kept in pots until the soils cools down again in autumn. If you are digging them up, divide them into smaller pieces, this will give the new bits a chance to grow over the summer and they will provide you with more plants for next season's flowers.
