Should you trim the laterals out on dwarf tomatoes like you do on standard plants?

Hi Don, you can leave the laterals as long as the plants have somewhere to sprawl. Having said that, the plants energies are going to go into vegetative (leaf) growth rather than producing fruit if you leave the laterals on. It is also a good idea to pinch laterals to improve air circulation to prevent diseases such as blight and powdery mildew becoming a problem.
