Q.
Hello, I live in New Plymouth. My blueberries just finished fruiting but also started flowering again in this beautiful warm autumn weather... Should I nip the flowers out to rather encourage further growth of the plant?

Hi Hanni,
It is the unseasonal weather we have been experiencing that is tricking the plant into thinking it is time to flower again. The fruit won’t amount to anything going into winter so nip the flowers out. Once it gets cold the plant will quickly stop flowering. It won’t harm the plant at all.
Thanks,
