Hi Graham
Tamarillos are susceptible to powdery mildew, which can cause leaves to yellow and eventually drop. Make sure there is good air circulation around the tree and pick up any fallen leaves and dispose of in the rubbish, as these leaves can spread the disease if left on the ground. Powdery mildew won’t be prevalent now but will return when temperatures warm up. Check with your local garden centre or DIY store for a suitable control for powdery mildew. Tamarillo tolerate light frosts once established, but will drop leaves in winter if temperatures drop, it should recover once temperatures warm up.
Thanks, Tui Team
