Q.
My Apricot tree has lots of flower buds this year (it is a small tree) I have never had any fruit from it, as I believe there are no bees around to pollinate it. Would you think that if I got a small brush and tickled each flower this would help? Would love to have fruit this year. Many thanks, Jacky

Hi Jacky, yes you can do this, go for it. It is good to note that regular varieties of apricot trees take 2-4 years to fruit from planting.
Also sometimes late frosts can cause the young fruit to abort, so if you live in an area where this occurs, cover your tree with frost cloth now (August). Happy gardening from the Tui Team.
