Q.
I have a lawn in the front and back of my house but it's full of weeds and hardly any lawn grass. What can I do to grow a healthy lawn? Thanks.

- The key to maintaining a healthy lawn is regular watering 2-3 times a week, feeding in spring and autumn and mowing on a high setting.
- Water 2-3 times a week for 10-15 minutes.
- Feeding twice a year in spring and autumn, this keeps the lawn actively growing crowding out weeds.
- Regular mowing on a high setting, only removing one third of the grass height at each mowing this gives the lawn some protection from drought over the hot dry months.
- By consistently doing this your lawn should start regenerating.
- To get your lawn back to good health feed with Tui Lawnforce New Lawns as this will stimulate new grass growth.
- Depending upon how bad the weed problem is you may need to spray the lawn with a selective weed spray and resow.
- The best time to do this is in spring or autumn.
- Lawn weeds prefer a slightly acid soil, apply Tui Lime to help adjust the pH of the soil so weeds are less likely to grow.
