Hi Steve, you can remove by hand using a knife, making sure the root is removed. Alternatively, spot spray with a glyphosate based herbicide. This will also kill any grass around the weeds as it is non selective, so be careful to apply neatly onto the weed. It will kill the weed right down to the roots.
