Hi team I have an infestation of passion vine hoppers than I can't get rid of. I've treated affected plants (passionfruit, citrus, jasmine) with hose, then neem oil and neem granules (started two weeks ago), but they just seem to hop off to other plants in my garden. What should I do? Or am I being too impatient? Thanks, Emma

Hi Emma, unfortunately they are very hard to control as they come from far and wide when they sense that plants are slightly stressed. Hosing does work but they return and populations are so big that spraying is ineffective because they return. If you want to spray them, the nymph stage (the fluffy bottom stage) is the best stage to get them. Keep your plants well watered, well fertilised and use Tui Organic Seaweed Plant Tonic to help make your plant more resistant to pest attack.
