Hi Tui, we are wanting to plant a lemon tree but are unsure what size plant will grow best. Any suggestions please? We live in Auckland.

It depends on the space you have for the tree – if you’re planting in the ground there a number of options available. We suggest taking a look at your local garden centre for options or check online here at Waimea Nurseries, and our article on choosing the perfect citrus variety here.

If you have a smaller space or are wanting to grow in a pot a dwarf variety like Meyer would be more suitable.
