Will my lemon tree recover from frost damage?

  Canterbury
  October

Q.

My small Meyer lemon tree has bad frost damage. I have removed the damaged branches. Is there a chance it will recover?

Vicki Bailey

A.

Hi Vicki, yes there is a good chance your plant will recover, you just need to wait a few months and allow it to generate enough energy to produce some new growth. To give your plant a boost, apply Tui Organic Seaweed Plant Tonic and a side dressing of citrus fertiliser around the drop line. New growth should appear within a few months.
