Fragrant herbs will add a flavour punch to any meal, particularly when they are freshly snipped from your own garden. Tui Herb Mix is a high quality planting mix containing the right blend of nutrients to provide your herbs with the best possible start and sustained growth for continuous harvesting.

Use in your garden beds, pots and containers, and you'll be harvesting a bumper crop of homegrown herbs this season.

Benefits

  • Nitrogen promotes green, leafy, growth for continuous harvesting.
  • SaturAid wetting agent to spread water evenly to the root zone and encourage rapid root development.
  • Gypsum and blood & bone for natural fertilising.

Directions for use

Directions for planting in garden beds:

  1. Water plants thoroughly before planting and allow to drain.
  2. Add a layer of mix to the planting area.
  3. Dig a hole, approximately twice the depth and width of the root ball of your plant.
  4. Gently loosen the root ball of your plant and position the plant in the centre of the hole.
  5. Fill in with Tui Herb Mix.
  6. Press soil gently around the base of the plant.
  7. Water your plant well and continue to water regularly.

Directions for potting plants:

  1. Water plants thoroughly before potting and allow to drain.
  2. Half fill your container with Tui Herb Mix.
  3. Gently take the plant from the current container, loosen the root ball and remove any loose or dead plant material and roots.
  4. Position the plant in the centre of the new container and fill with Tui Herb Mix up to 3cm from the top.
  5. Gently firm mix around the base of the plant. The mix should be at the same level on the plant as it was in the previous container.
  6. Water your plant well and continue to water regularly.

Most herbs in pots can be grown indoors and outdoors - choose a sunny windowsill when growing indoors.

Take care not to overwater your herbs as they don't like to sit in soggy soil.

  • Tui Novatec Premium Fertiliser

    Tui Novatec Premium Fertiliser

Not all fertilisers are created equal. Developed using nitrogen stabilising technology Tui NovaTec® Premium fertiliser provides a sustained release of easy to absorb nitrogen, feeding your plants for up to four months. As a compound fertiliser each granule contains the same available nutrients, so your plants receive a balanced and even spread of all essential nutrients.

This combination results in stronger, healthier plants and higher yields from your garden. Nitrogen stabilising technology benefits our environment too, as less nitrogen leaches into our waterways.

Use throughout your garden, and in pots and containers, to reap the rewards of plentiful harvests and prolific blooms.

  • Seasol

    Seasol

The best way to create and maintain a stunning garden is to use garden fertilisers in addition to plant tonic. Seasol seaweed based plant tonic has been used by Australian and New Zealand commercial growers and home gardeners for over 30 years.

Seasol is your complete garden health treatment. It is a liquid seaweed extract that contains high levels of naturally occurring growth stimulants and other essential compounds which promote strong root growth, reduce transplant shock, help plants cope with temperature extremes like frost, and strengthen cell walls to give plants better resistance to pests and diseases. Seasol also improves germination rates and increases flowering and fruiting capacity.

Seasol can be used in all gardening situations and at all times of the year when using a fertiliser may be inappropriate, for example during winter.
