Hi there, my rhubarb has prolific growth with huge leaves, but the stalks are not rosy red but are green. Is this the nature of this type? If not, can we rectify it?

Hi Bill, there are red and green varieties of rhubarb available, green stems are therefore normal for green varieties.
Rhubarb likes a moist soil, rich in organic matter. Make sure it is in free draining soil rich in compost as they don’t like drying out. Feed regularly with sheep pellets as these are rich in nitrogen. Applying Tui Organic Seaweed Plant Tonic will also help keep your plant healthy. Happy growing!
