Hi Tui, what is the best fertiliser to use for Bangalow and Queen Palms? Both liquid and slow release.

For a liquid use Tui Organic Seaweed Plant Tonic, which will help overall plant health and stimulate growth. Tui Seaweed & Fish fertiliser is another good liquid option, it has a fertiliser component to it as well as the benefit of seaweed, fish emulsion and humates, to stimulate beneficial soil microbes.

Nitrogen rich Blood & Bone is also suitable, apply a handful per square metre in spring. In terms of a slow release fertiliser, use Tui NovaTec Premium fertiliser, alternatively, a controlled release fertiliser which feeds for up to 6 months such as Tui Enrich Fruit, Citrus Tree & Shrub is also suitable. Palms don’t need a lot of feeding, feed in spring when new foliage appears. Thanks, Tui Team.
