When should I plant giant pumpkin seeds if I want them for Halloween?

Hi Emma, unfortunately NZ’s seasons are opposite to the U.S. October is their autumn. In New Zealand you would be harvesting your pumpkins now through to late autumn and hope that they keep until October. Pumpkins need heat and will not survive winter especially in the Manawatu.
