Q.
Hi Tui, I'm am keen to establish a chamomile lawn. I plan to sow seed in trays soon and plant in August. Any tips for success? Is it reasonably hardy?

Hi Renata
Plant in a light free draining soil (loam). Chamomile does not like stony or gravelly soil, or heavy clay soil and it grows well in full sun and part shade. Make sure all weeds are cleared as it does not compete well with weeds. Avoid walking on your lawn for about 12 weeks until it is established. Other than keeping the weeds at bay it is pretty low maintenance.
Thanks, Tui Team
