We want to help you create the perfect mix in your garden for healthy growth and bumper harvests.
Check out our road trip itinerary – we’d love to catch up at your local event! We’ll be there to help you pick the perfect mix for your garden, share handy tips, and you could win vouchers to save on our products.
Keep an eye out on our Instagram and Facebook for reminders closer to the time of each event.

Tui has a perfect mix of products, advice and inspiration to grow your garden at every stage and season. We look forward to seeing you in store to help guide your garden plans.
While we'd love to be able to visit every region in NZ, unfortunately it isn't possible logistically. We'll have plenty of chances to win on our website, Facebook and Instagram right throughout spring. Look out for other spring events held at your local garden centre or DIY store.

How do I look after my new Daphne?
Marie Sowden
Hi Marie, are you planning on planting your daphne in a pot or the garden? There are many types of daphne, but the most common is the evergreen Daphne odora. Daphne like a cool moist root run and a free draining soil so if planting in the garden dig in generous amounts of compost and organic matter such as sheep pellets. The best position in the garden is partial sun, either early morning or late afternoon, they don’t thrive as well in all day sun. There is a new series of daphne that are more sun tolerant than older daphne varieties, look for the Perfume Princess series, they flower for a longer period and can handle more sun, but still need the cool moist root run and well-drained soil. Mulch around your plant with Tui Mulch & Feed to help conserve soil moisture through the summer months, now is a good time to apply mulch while there is still moisture in the soil. Feed your daphne with a fertiliser for acid loving plants such as Tui Acid Food for garden plants or Tui Enrich Rose, Camellia, Azalea and Gardenia controlled release fertiliser. Feed your plant now in early spring and again when flowering has finished. Water throughout the growing season and give them regular applications of either Seaweed Plant Tonic or Seaweed & Fish fertiliser. If planting in a pot use a quality free draining potting mix such as Tui Pot Power and ensure it is in a pot that is big enough to allow the plant to grow in size. In pots fertilise with a controlled release fertiliser and regularly liquid feed using Tui Superfood All Purpose liquid fertiliser every 1-2 weeks. Daphne don’t usually need pruning back, the constant picking of fragrant flowers is all that the plant needs to keep it compact and bushy.
